Discussion
When it rains, it pours. Important, game-changing developments in music copyright law have come on like an afternoon thunderstorm in the last year. A dialogue with noted song copyright litigator Richard Busch and local entertainment lawyer David Given will cover the Blurred Lines case (in which Mr. Busch served as counsel to the Marvin Gaye heirs), the pending Ninth Circuit appeal in the Stairway to Heaven case, ongoing infringement litigation against Spotify (in which both Messrs. Busch and Given are involved) and statutory copyright termination, among other topics.
