Music and Copyright Law: An Overview of Copyright Law in the Music Industry
Join the ACBA Intellectual Property Section and Daniel Schacht of Donahue Fitzgerald LLP for a guided tour of copyright law as it is applied to, and affects, the music industry. This workshop will cover such topics as composition and master copyrights, publishing, songwriter agreements, labels, public performance rights and royalties, and streaming services. We will also peek into the future and take a look at the proposed Music Modernization Act and the CLASSICS Act.
Light lunch provided. If you have dietary restrictions, please plan to bring your own food.
