MCLE - Using Insurance and Indemnity to Mitigate Risks in Real Estate Transactions - Webcast

The SCCBA Insurance Law and Real Property Sections present a joint program dealing with issues at the intersection of these two specialties that will be of particular interest to practitioners in both fields. Specifically, this program will focus on how attorneys can employ insurance and indemnity protections to mitigate the diverse risks associated with the spectrum of commercial real estate transactions.

 

Topics to be discussed include:

  • The use of insurance in real estate purchase and sale, leasing, property management and construction matters, with recommendations
  • Drafting effective insurance and indemnity provisions for different types of commercial real estate transactions, with contract examples
  • Which title insurance endorsements should be obtained when planning to acquire real estate for future disposition or development
