Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar and a Review of Significant Decisions During the 2016-2017 Term
|
Please join us for a conversation with Justice Mariano-Florentino Cuéllar, one of the newest Justices on the California Supreme Court. Justice Cuéllar is the former Stanley Morrison Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and has served as the Special Assistant to the President for Justice and Regulatory Policy at the White House, and as the co-chair of the U.S. Department of Education’s Equity and Excellence Commission. He was nominated to the California Supreme Court by Governor Jerry Brown and was sworn in on January 5, 2015.
The conversation with Justice Cuéllar will be followed by a review of significant California Supreme Court decisions during the 2016-2017 by a panel of academics and experienced appellate practitioners.
