The California Supreme Court approved 27 amended rules of professional conduct and added 42 more rules in 2018. The State Bar of California has adopted nearly 70 new and amended Rules of Professional Conduct effective November 1, 2018. This is the first overhaul of ethics rules for attorneys licensed in California in nearly 30 years! We will review the new and amended rules.
